In the 2023 assembly elections in rajasthan, rebel and independent candidates have spoiled the equation between
BJP and congress parties. Displeased with the distribution of tickets, the candidates who contested as independent
candidates or from any other party are also getting public support. Bhilwara assembly in rajasthan state is
considered a stronghold of bjp since 1998. Angered by the bjp fielding Vitthal shankar Awasthi as its candidate
for the fourth time on this assembly seat, bjp workers have fielded cow devotee ashok Kothari as an independent
candidate.
Let us tell you that Kothari has the support of the common people along with the saints, due to which both the
major parties are losing their sweat. Independent candidate ashok Kothari is contesting as an independent
candidate from Bhilwara assembly seat. Kothari has the support of the common people along with the saints,
although Kothari also belongs to the RSS and has been given open support by various Hindu organizations.
Kothari identifies himself as a husband and cow devotee. This is the first time he has entered the political field.
Bhilwara is known by different names
Talking about Bhilwara district, it is known by the names Textile City, Mica City, Manchester of rajasthan,
Textile City etc. There was once a coin mint in Bhilwara in which coins called Bhiladi were minted. Hence this
area was named Bhilwara. Bhilwara is bordered by Ajmer in the north, Bundi and Tonk in the east, Rajsamand in
the west and Chittorgarh in the south. Out of approximately two lakh voters in this city, the maximum number of
voters from the Brahmin community is around 70 thousand. In this, BJP's vote margin is continuously increasing.
The margin of defeat was 15,677 in 2003, which increased to 49,578 in the last election. Whereas Congress
candidate Anil Dagi's deposit was forfeited due to him being a victim of factionalism.
