Do Marathas have considerable influence in politics of Maharashtra?

Sources from mumbai stated that the population of this community in the state is more than 30 percent. The demand for maratha reservation took a radical form. The mob set fire to the residence and offices of the former minister and two MLAs. Many MLAs and MPs also resigned from their posts regarding the matter. Manoj Jarange Patil is leading the movement regarding maratha reservation. He has given time to maharashtra government to fulfill the demands till wednesday (01 November). Also gave an ultimatum that if the demands are not met then this movement will be intensified. Earlier in the year 2018, there was a movement regarding reservation. After which the government passed the bill in the Assembly.

These MLAs and MPs resigned for maratha reservation hemant Patil

shiv sena (Shinde) mp from Hingoli lok sabha constituency hemant Patil has resigned from his post. hemant Patil is a staunch Shiv Sainik and Neded is his workplace. He has worked as a municipal servant, standing committee chairman and shiv sena district chief. If he got a chance, he also became mp from Hingoli. Earlier hemant Patil used to be close to raj Thackeray. hemant Godse shiv sena Shinde mp from Nashik, hemant Godse is one of the veteran leaders of Shiv Sena. He represents Nashik constituency of maharashtra and is a member of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. He was earlier a member of the maharashtra navnirman sena and contested the 2009 elections from the same constituency, but lost to NCP’s sameer Bhujbal by 24,000 votes. In 2014, he registered a resounding victory and then in 2019, he was re-elected from the same seat. Laxman Pawar BJP’s first mla resigned from his post over maratha reservation. The name of this bjp mla from Gevrai in Beed district is Laxman Pawar and he has submitted his resignation to assembly Speaker rahul Narvekar. suresh Vadpurkar

Congress mla from Pathri Parbhani suresh Vadpurkar has also tendered his resignation. He was also a minister of State in the government of maharashtra and also a Member of parliament from Parbhani in the year 1998. During the year 2014, he was also a member of district Congress Committee from Parbhani.
