In the 2018 assembly elections, Ramlal meena of congress won the Pratapgarh seat. He defeated Hemant
Meena, six-time mla and son of former minister Nandlal. Before this, for a long time this seat was considered
the stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Nandlal won this seat continuously in 1980 and again from 1993 to
2018. This time also Ramlal meena and hemant meena are contesting against each other from this seat. Ramlal
meena of congress is confident that he will win again.
congress leader Ramlal meena said, A lot of work has been done in Pratapgarh assembly constituency in the
last five years, which includes college, state highway, new panchayat and SDM office. He claimed that
Annapurna Food Packet Scheme has been very popular in tribal dominated areas. Ramlal said, Skyrocketing
inflation has put a heavy burden on the poor. The people here have limited income and resources. When the
government started the free food packet scheme, people appreciated it a lot.

Tribes (ST). Of the two assembly constituencies of Pratapgarh district, one is Pratapgarh and the other is
Dhariyavad. Voting for 200 assembly seats of rajasthan will be held on november 25 and counting of votes will
take place on december 3.
