Protestors of maratha reservation movement vandalized the SUV of maharashtra cabinet minister Hasan
Mushrif in South mumbai on wednesday morning. police gave this information. An officer said that the
Marine Drive police station has detained three people in this regard. Mushrif belongs to the Nationalist
Congress party (NCP) faction led by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. The official said that at around 7.30
am, two activists of the maratha Reservation Movement vandalized the minister’s SUV parked near
Akashvani mla Hostel in South mumbai with sticks.

He told that the protesters were raising slogans of “One maratha, Lakh Maratha”. The officer said that the
police reached the spot and took three people into custody. During investigation it was found that these people
were from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. He said that the damaged vehicle was taken to Marine Drive
police station for further investigation in connection with the incident.
police had earlier told that on october 26, two cars of lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte were vandalized in Parel
area of Mumbai. Sadavarte has been a vocal opponent of maratha reservation. Three people were later
arrested for damaging the vehicles. Following violent incidents in various parts of the state over the demand
for maratha reservation, mumbai police has increased the security of cabinet ministers, leaders of other
political parties, offices of political parties and important places in Mumbai.
Now police presence has been increased in Mantralaya and surrounding areas. Even those visiting the ministry
are being allowed inside only after questioning. Also, heavy police force has been deployed outside Hasan
Mushrif's residence in Kolhapur. The cars which were vandalized have been taken to Marine Lines Police
Station.
