Mundan movement was seen in mumbai today amid the uproar over maratha reservation in Maharashtra.
In Mumbai’s Byculla area, on behalf of the agitators of the maratha community, the head of the Shiv
temple was shaved in the morning, in which women were also included, while raising the slogan of Ek
maratha Lakh Maratha. Along with the Mundan movement, these agitators were also going to go on a
hunger strike, however, the mumbai Police did not allow them to do so. Amidst the demand for Maratha
reservation, maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has spoken to Manoj Jarange on phone and expressed
confidence in taking concrete steps.
The movement will continue until the demands are not met
In the pictures, the agitators of the maratha community are seen getting tonsured in front of the temple,
while for this reason the mumbai Police was also seen deployed. The agitators told ABP news that we are
doing this movement non-violently. We are with Manoj Jarange Patil, we support his fast. We will
continue the movement in this manner until our demands are met by the state government.
Hunger strike and demonstration against the government
The issue of maratha reservation is prevalent in the entire country including Maharashtra. On one hand the
opposition is attacking the state government. On the other hand, the political atmosphere has heated up due
to the resignation of leaders. Reservation of maratha community in maharashtra has also become violent.
At the same time, the agitators are also seen on hunger strike and protesting against the government.
maratha agitators have warned that the government should find a solution on maratha reservation in time,
otherwise they will launch a violent protest. This time women have also taken part in this movement.
