A day of police custody for Amar Prasad Reddy!?
The court has ordered Amarprasad reddy, including 4 persons, to be taken into police custody for one day and allowed to be interrogated. The party's flag pole was erected in front of tamil Nadu bjp chief Annamalai's house on east Coast Road, Panayur, Chennai. The bjp protested against the police department and the corporation employees who went to remove the flag pole after a complaint was raised that it was put up without permission. The JCP vehicle brought to remove the flagpole was also damaged. Kanathur police arrested 6 people including amar Prasad reddy who is the state president of bjp skill development wing and who is known to be very close to bjp state president annamalai in connection with this matter.
In this case, the police sought permission from the Alandur court in chennai to take 4 people, including amar Prasad reddy, who are in judicial custody in Puzhal Jail, to take them into custody for 5 days. To investigate the case, Magistrate Chandra Prabha ordered that 4 persons including Amarprasad reddy should be taken into police custody for one day for questioning. Earlier, the police arrested amar Prasad reddy in two more cases. He was arrested by the police in a complaint filed against chief minister M.K.Stalin's picture in an advertisement placed during the opening ceremony of the Chess Olympiad, and in a case registered that he had an argument with the assistant inspector of traffic police during a protest held by the bjp earlier in Valluvar district. The Egmore court ordered amar Prasad reddy to be remanded in judicial custody for 14 days in the case of a dispute with the traffic police assistant inspector. Saidapet court granted bail to amar Prasad reddy in the Chess Olympiad advertisement case with the condition that he appear when required.
Meanwhile, amar Prasad Reddy's wife, Nirosha, has filed a petition in the madras High court, claiming that the police are trying to imprison him under the gangster Act.
