Saurabh allegation - officials want to stop Farishte Scheme

Health minister Saurabh Bhardwaj held a press conference at the secretariat on Friday. During this, he accused

some officials of closing the Farishte Scheme launched by the delhi Government in the year 2018. Health

Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that under the Farishte Scheme, there is a provision to honor whoever brings a

road accident victim to the hospital for treatment. Under this scheme, that person will also be given a reward of Rs

2000. Whereas delhi Police will not even do any inquiry in this.


The person who takes the accident victim to the hospital is monitored by the authorities until he wishes to witness

the incident. He further said that under this scheme till now the lives of about 23000 people have been saved and

they have been given free treatment. delhi government also bears the expenses of treatment of road accident

victims. Bhardwaj said, Incentives are given to those who help, but we don't know how the senior officials of the

department are sabotaging this scheme.

Payment has not been made in hospitals- Bhardwaj

Serious allegations have been made against General Secretary of delhi Health Department, IAS officer Dr Deepak

Kumar and officer Nutan Mundeja. Saurabh Bhardwaj said that these officers want to close the Farishte Scheme

under a scheme, since last one and a half years, payments have not been made to the hospitals where the accident

victims were treated under this scheme.

Plans are being stopped as part of a well-planned conspiracy – Bhardwaj

Bhardwaj said that we have held meetings several times and nothing was clearly told to us in them, but now we

have come to know about this, what should be done with such officers? After all, why have they become enemies

of the public? When this scheme was launched by the delhi government, then why do these officials want to stop

it? As part of a well-planned conspiracy, senior officials want to stop this scheme.
