According to US news, a surprising city in california is the most expensive city in the US. Nonetheless, san francisco has a greater average house value than San Diego—$1.3 million. Furthermore, San Diego's $3,200 median monthly rent is less than that of other less costly cities. For instance, Zillow estimates that the typical monthly rent in New York is around $3,600, while in san francisco it is approximately $3,500.
