Residents of dubai won't need to bring any identification when departing from the airport anytime soon. In the Emirates, wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital scanning will replace the need for passports, visas, and other paperwork. According to Khaleej Times, the Emirates said on Monday, october 16, that citizens of dubai will soon be spared from having to provide their passports, visas, or any other travel documentation at dubai International airport (DXB).
Digital Scanning Process
When visitors arrive at an airport check-in desk, they will go through a quick procedure where their facial characteristics are scanned and their pictures are taken. After that, passengers will get a comprehensive itinerary, information, and help checking in their bags. Their photos will be used to chronicle the adventure later on. Upon reaching immigration, visitors will have the choice to bypass the desk and go directly to the smart gate.
At the smart gate, their picture and facial ID will be enough for identity, so they won't need to present any travel documents. Travel will be quite convenient with no long lines for those departing from dubai, provided that the security check is clear and there are no penalties or concerns with the tourists' visas.
Biometric Technology
Passengers departing dubai may now travel without a passport or boarding permit thanks to a new biometric system that dubai International airport (DXB) introduced earlier in february 2023. Travelers may check-in for their flights and complete immigration procedures using the newest biometric technology without the need for identity credentials.
