Telangana Polls - Cops seize cash worth Rs 20.43 crores, Liquor and Freebies

The authorities in telangana, which is scheduled to go to polls soon, confiscated cash, gold jewelry, and spirits valued at Rs 37.07 crore between 9 and 12 October. Freebies such as computers, rice cookers, sewing machines, rice sarees, gold, silver, gems, whisky, and ganja were confiscated, according to a news statement. A total of Rs 20,43,38,375 in cash was taken from october 9 to october 12.

Between october 9 and october 12, 86,92,533 rupees were taken in. 31,730 liters of spirits, 1,000 kg of black jaggery, and 501 kg of ginger are among the products. Between october 9 and october 12, 89,02,825 kg of ganja were seized. Between october 9 and 12, 14,65,50,852 rupees were taken into custody. 31.797 kg of gold, 350 kg of silver, and 42.203 carats of diamonds are among the goods. Between october 9 and 12, 22,51,963 rupees were taken into custody. 7,040 kg of grains, 440 sarees, 87 cookers, 80 sewing machines, and 1 automobile are among the valuables.

A case under Sections 107, 108, 110, and 151 was registered against 1196 persons, the press release informed. The cumulative value of all the seized items so far is over Rs.37.07 crores. As many as 100 companies of Central Armed police Force were deployed to telangana and they will report by october 20.
