On Thursday,
october 12, when the
election commission (EC) ordered CV Anand's removal,
vikram singh Mann assumed the position of
hyderabad city
police commissioner as additional commissioner of
police (law and order). He spoke with the municipal
police force through video conference on enhancing security and preventing electoral crimes.
The commissioners from
nizamabad and
warangal, AV
ranganath and
v Satyanarayana, respectively, were reassigned by the
ec in addition to Anand. Thirteen state
police commissioners and superintendents were ordered to be transferred by the EC. Nine of the 13
police personnel who were sent to
telangana are not members of the Cadre.
These include
sangareddy SP M Ramana,
kamareddy SP B
srinivas Reddy, Jagityal SP A Bhaskar,
mahabubnagar SP K Narasimha,
nagarkurnool SP K Manohar,
jogulamba gadwal SP K Srujana, Mahbubabad SP G Chandramohan, Narayanpet SP N Venkateshwarulu, Bhupalapally SP P Karunakar, and Suryapet SP Rajender
prasad were also transferred.
DGP Anjani Kumar has issued directives designating in-charge officers to cover the vacancies resulting from these transfers. Along with
vikram singh Mann, who is the in-charge
police commissioner of
hyderabad, D.
muralidhar and S.
jayaram have been named the in-charge
police commissioners of
warangal and
nizamabad, respectively. Other officials, including SPs in Suryapet,
sangareddy,
kamareddy, Jagityal,
mahabubnagar,
nagarkurnool, Gadwal, Mahabubabad, Nirmal, and Bhupalapalli, have also been assigned to a variety of roles.
