JNUSU Elections: Students boycotted classes, leaders made allegations...

Jawaharlal Nehru university students Union elections (JNUSU elections 2023) located in the national

capital, students boycotted classes on wednesday demanding holding. In fact, the students of JNUSU have

been demanding elections for some time now. JNUSU elections were last held in 2019. elections have not

been held since then due to the corona virus epidemic.

Since the recent completion of delhi university students Union elections, JNU students have been

demanding to hold JNUSU elections there. Many students in the morning shift boycotted the classes from 9

to 12 on wednesday morning. Most of the left students were present among these students. students also

plan to boycott practical and different time classes today from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

Boycott had no impact on work

Despite the boycott of classes, all the professors, assistant professors and JNU administrators of JNU are on

duty as usual. No official information or change in schedule has been given by the JNU administration

regarding the boycott of classes by the students.

Accused of ignoring student interests

According to JNU left student organization AISA (All india Student Union), the student union has been

working to raise issues like women’s safety, keeping semester fees less than Rs 300, tolerance, debates, safe

environment in JNU campus, but not elections. All these issues have been ignored by the JNU

administration during the last few years. Therefore, there is a need to conduct JNUSU elections as soon as

possible.
