Telangana Hyderabad - Crores of unaccounted cash recovered, many detained in random checks

To monitor cash movement during the assembly elections on november 30, police in the tri-commissionerate region on tuesday confiscated unaccounted cash of crores of rupees through vehicle checks and detained tens of people. The police urged the people to carry supporting documentation while transporting large quantities of cash or jewelry, saying that in all cases, the money would be turned over to the income tax department.

During a vehicle check at Aghapura Junction, two different people had a total of Rs 17 lakh taken from them by the Habeeb nagar police. police in Ibrahimpatnam apprehended a guy in possession of Rs 6.50 lakh without any supporting documentation. In a significant operation, the banjara hills police apprehended three people and confiscated Rs 3.35 crore in undeclared cash.

Authorities seized Rs 4.4 lakh at Patancheru's Muthangi Toll Plaza.

Asafaq was the person from whom the Asifnagar police recovered Rs 6 lakh during vehicle checks at Meraj Crossroads.

Police at SR nagar apprehended Rs 15 lakhs from Shijas, a 25-year-old inhabitant of banjara hills, Kerala.

In a Medipally raid, the police seized Rs 6.01 lakh.

At the ntr Crossroads in the Vikarabad district, a car driving from Masab Tank to tandur was stopped, and Rs 9.5 lakh in unauthorised cash was taken.

During Puranapul and gandhi Statue vehicle inspections, the Goshamal police confiscated Rs 15 lakh that a Begum Bazaar man named Shanker Yadav was transporting under dubious circumstances.
