Telangana Elections 2023 - Cops launch special drives to curb flow of cash, liquor and goods in Hyderabad
Police detained three people who were in possession of 7 kg of gold and 295 kg of silver during a vehicle check exercise near Nizam College, Abids Road. Purchase bills were being checked as the goods were confiscated. on Puranapul, the Begum Bazaar police arrested shankar Yadav after finding cash hidden on a scooter valued at Rs. 15 lakh.
In a separate incident, two people were found to be in possession of Rs. 30 lakh in unaccounted cash by the Rachakonda SOT police and Chaitanyapuri police. The Panchasheela 'X' road vehicle check is where the Chaderghat police discovered Gopi Rao carrying Rs. 9.3 lakh in cash without proper identification.
Similar to this, the police in Vanasthalipuram's Autonagar area apprehended two people carrying automobiles full of undeclared cash totaling Rs. 6.7 lakh. Ramulu Naik and narasimha were apprehended by police at Gopanpalli, Gachibowli, where they were in possession of pressure cookers that were ostensibly intended for distribution to voters. On the cookers, officials discovered stickers of Raghunath Yadav, the head of the Serilingampally congress party.
Similar to this, at the shadnagar toll plaza, police detained two people and recovered $18.5 lakh in unauthorized cash. Another incident saw police seizing a total of Rs. 17 lakh in different instances at Aghapura in Habeebnagar during vehicle checking. The money was being transported on scooters.
