Telangana Hyderabad - Once Thriving Community Park in Rajendranagar Turns into Neglected Jungle
Unfortunately, despite the park's poor state, the authorities have not yet started cleaning up and fencing it. The much-needed rehabilitation work has not even started, despite promises made in June, leaving people disappointed and disenchanted.
Mother-of-two and local resident Rina Sharma lamented, "I used to bring my kids to this park every weekend. They might play there and meet new people in a lovely setting. Now, I'd be foolish to bring them here. Who knows what risks may be there in the jungle-like state it has become?
Another resident, Shayeeb Khan, stated that the officials "remain unmoved despite many tweets and calls from all colony residents. All we're asking for is a calm environment.
Khan said that while the town planner and assistant engineers had inspected the location, they had not taken any further action. "This is the only park in the vicinity," he stated.
Even youngsters have expressed their dismay since the situation is so serious. Aman, a nine-year-old who longed to spend a lifetime there, lamented that "our school doesn't even have a ground big enough to play on. I can only establish and maintain friends outside of a screen this way. With all these wild flora and creatures, it is now frightening.
Concerns have been expressed concerning the safety of the children and the general standard of living of the inhabitants due to the lack of progress on the planned repair work and the deteriorating condition of the park. Although there are no visible evidence of earlier civil works, such as bulldozing, cleaning, some shoveling, and fencing, authorities have stated that plans to work on the land are in place. It was unable to get in touch with the circle manager to request an official response.
