How strong did Nitish Kumar become before 2024?
Nitish government of bihar has released the caste census data on 2nd october i.e. gandhi Jayanti. With this,
bihar has become the first state in the country to release caste census data. Based on the survey, there are 13
crore 7 lakh 25 thousand 310 people in the state. Out of these, there are 2,83,44,160 families.
Out of these 13 crore population, the maximum population is 63% of OBC (27% backward class + 36%
extremely backward class) category. Out of which 14.26% are Yadav and 3.65% are Brahmin and 3.45% are
Rajput (Thakur). Kayasthas have the least number among these castes. According to the survey, the population
of Kayasthas in the state is only 0.60%. After this, sc category has 19 percent population.
How many Hindus and Muslims?
Along with the survey data, Chief Secretary in-charge of bihar government, vivek Kumar Singh has also
released a book on caste census. In this book, detailed information has been given about the population of each
community. In the same book it was told that Hindus have the largest number in Bihar. There are about 82%
Hindus in the state. That means 107192958 people of the total population have declared themselves as Hindus.
Whereas 23149925 people have declared themselves Muslims. The population of Hindus in the state has
decreased between 2011 and 2022, i.e. 12 years. In the 2011 census, the Hindu population in the state was 82.7%
and the Muslim population was 16.9%. After this, Buddhists are 0.08 percent, Christians are 0.05 percent, Jains
are 0.009 percent. Apart from this, there are also 2146 people who do not consider themselves to be of any
religion.
