Hospital Deaths: Maharashtra Minister said on Nanded incident
31 patients have died in the last 48 hours at Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Govt Medical college & Hospital in
Nanded, Maharashtra. After the incident, the state government has formed a committee of three doctors to
investigate. At the same time, in this matter, State Rural Development and panchayati Raj minister Girish
Mahajan said that I came here three-four months ago. Many complaints were received from people.
When Girish Mahajan visited the hospital, he had to data-face sharp questions from journalists. Journalists asked him
that when you took charge as a minister, did no one tell you about the condition of government hospitals? Or you
never held any meeting regarding its condition or never came to inspect it? On this, Girish Mahajan said, I had
come three-four months ago and inspected the hospital. Complaints were received from many people. There
was a lot of uncleanliness here, there was an issue of cleanliness. It was an issue of man power.
There will be 5500 postings for class 3 and 4
minister Girish Mahajan further told reporters, “We have recruited 5500 people for classes 3 and 4. There was a
stay from the court so the posting could not be done, but now the stay has been lifted. I think he will be posted
within a week. cm Eknath Shinde is facing attack from the opposition over the death in Nanded. Amidst these
criticisms, he denied that there was any shortage of medicines and staff.
