CBI registered PE, AAP leader said - Action is a symbol of BJP’s frustration

the alleged irregularities and misconduct committed by unknown public servants of delhi government regarding the
construction of the new official residence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. The investigating agency has also registered
a PE in this regard on Wednesday.
The ruling aam aadmi party (AAP) in delhi said that it welcomes the cbi investigation. The party has claimed that 'as has
happened in previous investigations in all other cases, nothing will come to light in this. This is a desperate attempt by
bjp to defame AAP.
Ask for necessary documents from PWD
On the other hand, cbi officials said that PE has been registered against unknown public servants of delhi government.
PE is filed to see whether there is prima facie material to lodge an FIR on the allegations. The anti-corruption branch of
the cbi has written a letter to the Public Works Department (PWD) on Monday, asking for records related to the house
till october 3, which include the recommendations and approvals of its officers regarding changes, tender documents,
bids made by contractors, buildings. Includes plan approval and requests from the client for improved specifications like
modular kitchen, marble flooring and other decorative works. The agency also asked the PWD to submit records related
to payments made to contractor AK Builders and the project consultant. Many other documents have also been asked
for.
