Telangana Hyderabad Short Heavy rain brings Traffic Woes

On wednesday evening, the city had brief rains for an hour, with Shaikpet receiving the most precipitation. The locations around Tirumalagiri, Secunderabad, Charminar, and gulzar House also saw a lot of rain. The hyderabad traffic police tweeted that reports of water logging and delayed vehicle movement were made from the AR gas station, Gun Park, ravindra Bharathi, Lakdi ka Pool, ayodhya Jn., PTI, and Mahaveer Hospital towards Masab Tank.

The city is predicted to have isolated mild to moderate rainfall on Thursday, according to the meteorological service. The following two days should see light to moderate rain. Over the next three days, the city will have maximum temperatures between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius and lowest temperatures between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.


On wednesday evening, hyderabad was hit by an hour-long torrential downpour that caused significant traffic jams in several areas, keeping commuters trapped for hours. As the rains coincided with the evening peak office hours, there were reports of severe traffic congestion from places like Punjagutta, Khairatabad, Lakadikapul, Ameerpet, and Gachibowli among others. The bustle on the streets was exacerbated by a continual stream of Ganesh idols lining up around various immersion spots. Numerous arterial routes were shut and traffic was redirected in the Hussainsagar Lake area, which was significantly affected.
