Telangana Hyderabad - Spa owners held for enabling ‘S*xual Exploitation’

On Friday, september 22, the Commissioner Task Force (north zone) raided Yantra Spa in Himayath Nagar, where female employees were reportedly sexually exploited, and detained 12 people, including 3 organisers and 5 clients.
Four other women who were made to labour at the spa by the police were also freed. Owner of the spa Bandi Anil Kumar, manager Kishan Singh Hazari, receptionist Durga Prasad, and clients Azmat ali Ansari, krishna Kumar Baheti, ajay Singh, L. Ramanathan, and Priyesh chandu were named as the defendants.

According to the authorities, the spa was being operated by sexually abusing women to draw in male clients. The accused failed to operate the spa in accordance with the rules established by the government. The spa was not abiding by the rules, according to the police. "The administration of the spa was giving customers cross massages so they could make quick money, and the therapists were operating without a current physiotherapy certificate.

Singhabhut Thapthim, one of the four therapists, had arrived on a business e-visa and was practising therapy in violation of the terms of the e-visa provided by the indian Embassy. The Spa Centre has no CCTV cameras, according to the police.
