India-Canada relations continued to sour after G-20
The G-20 conference was organized in New delhi on 9-10 september of this month. Representatives of many
countries had reached india in this conference. However, since the end of the G-20 conference, distance is being
seen in the relations between india and Canada. On september 15, as soon as PM Trudeau returned to canada after
the G-20, talks on a bilateral free trade agreement with india were stopped.
india was Canada’s tenth largest trading partner in the year 2022. india had exported goods worth $ 4.10 billion to
canada in the year 2022-23 and had exported goods worth $ 3.76 billion a year earlier i.e. in the year 2021-22.
About 600 Canadian companies are also working in India.
