Telangana Congress shows Sonia Gandhi shown as a Goddess

SIBY JEYYA
The congress has been under fire from the bharatiya janata party (BJP) after telangana saw the posting of posters depicting former party president sonia gandhi as a goddess. The images on the posters depict sonia gandhi as a goddess wearing a jewelled crown. Additionally, a map of telangana can be seen rising from her right palm in the posters. Shehzad Poonawala, a bjp spokeswoman, called the action of the congress workers "shameful" and claimed that the grand old party has always viewed its "parivar" as being larger than the nation and its citizens.
After a congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting that was held in hyderabad on sunday ended, the posters were placed up. The purpose of the gathering was to talk about issues linked to the state's approaching assembly elections. Senior members of the congress, including sonia gandhi, rahul Gandhi, priyanka Gandhi, and party leader mallikarjun Kharge, were present at the meeting.

Poonawala claimed on the microblogging platform X that the congress regularly insults Bharat. He said, "First congress leaders like Aradhna Mishra said Bharat Mata ki jai is against party discipline; in the past BD Kalla has said say sonia Mata ki jai not BMKJ. Now congress equates sonia gandhi to Bharat Mata just like they had equated Indira to india ! This is utterly shameful."
