The election process of delhi University students Union (DUSU) has started amid political turmoil in the

country's capital. Candidates will file their nominations today i.e. on 14th september for the elections to be

held on 22nd September. After which, tomorrow on 15th september, all the student union candidates will be

finalized and then the leaders of various student unions will start preparing for the elections with the

manifesto.


According to the information, NSUI will bring two manifestos this time. One manifesto will be on general

issues and the other will be based on girls' issues. At the same time, akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad

(ABVP) has sought online suggestions from students for its manifesto. Whereas AISA and SFI have released

their manifesto yesterday.


AISA-SFI preparing to form alliance

AISA and SFI have released their manifesto yesterday itself. The election issues of both are almost the same.

At the same time, talks are also going on between the two regarding alliance against ABVP. Delhi

University SFI convener abhishek said that we are in talks with both AISA and NSUI on the alliance. The

situation regarding this will become clear in a day or two.

NSUI not ready for alliance

NSUI in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar said that the issues related to the safety of girls and their problems in DU

are very big and important. This time they are coming up with two manifestos, one of which will focus only

on the issues and problems of girls. The manifesto will be released soon after the nomination. At the same

time, for election campaigning, NSUI will organize a huge march in North Campus, in which students from

both the campuses and other colleges will also participate. At the same time, regarding the rest of the student

wing uniting against the right wing, he said that he is not against the alliance, but this can be done even after

the elections to work on the issues related to students.
