  • case of controversial statements being given on Sanatan dharma and dispute regarding Hanuman on behalf of
  • Swaminarayan Sampraday. The meeting took place. In the meeting the saints unanimously passed three
  • resolutions. The Akhara Parishad meeting was called for making statements against Sanatan Dharma, insulting
  • the deities of the religion and misrepresenting the things mentioned in the scriptures. Saints from seven Akharas
  • were present in the meeting.
  • An emergency meeting was organized by akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad on wednesday at Shri Panchayati
  • Nirmal Akhara located in Kankhal. During this, the saints discussed the proposals of the meeting in a closed
  • room for about two hours. After this, President of akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, Shri Mahant ravindra Puri
  • said that the ministers of karnataka and kerala are opposing Sanatan Dharma. A censure motion has been
  • passed against those ministers in the Akhara Parishad meeting.
  • Demand for ban on Swaminarayan sect
  • Ravindra puri also said that the saints of Swaminarayan sect have portrayed Lord Hanuman, the deity of five
  • worships, in a derogatory manner. For this reason, a demand for ban of the sect has been made in the meeting.
  • Akhara Parishad and All india Sant Samiti have boycotted the sect in the past. Despite the boycott, opposition
  • to Lord Hanuman continues in the curriculum and discourse of that sect. A condemnation motion against the
  • sect has been passed in the meeting. The sect has also been requested not to do so in future, if the insult to Lord
  • Hanuman is still not stopped then strict legal action will be taken against the sect through the government.
