As per report a congress leader's mother and brother were beaten to death with a rolling stick in a property dispute near Srivaikundam in Thoothukudi district. Vembukuru hails from Kongarayakurichi Pudumanai Street near Srivaikundam, Tuticorin District. His son Mari Selvam (age 30). He is the Karunkulam district Secretary in the congress Party. There have been frequent property disputes between him and his family. Mariselvam and his younger brother Manikandan had a dispute over property on the third day. In this, Manikandan's mother Letsumi was also there to help him. It is said that Letsumi and Manikandan attacked Mariselva with a rolling pin. Neighbors rushed Mariselvam to Palayangottai government Hospital for treatment. The police registered a case and arrested mother Letsumi and brother Manikandan.
Meanwhile Mariselvam was being given intensive treatment. But Mariselvam died this morning without treatment.
