No scarcity of Urea in Telangana - Niranjan Reddy
There are now more than 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of urea reserves in the state. During the monsoon season, 7.78 lakh metric tonnes of urea were allocated, and 7.14 lakh tonnes have been delivered thus far. On Friday, 15,838 metric tonnes of urea were delivered to the state. In all, 9.93 lakh metric tonnes of urea have been made available thus far this season. The state's present reserves would be adequate to cover the farmers' needs. Due to a delay in the monsoon, the area under cultivation decreased this year by 10 lakh acres.
16,615 licenced dealers and 908 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies in the state are authorised to sell urea. In the nalgonda area, four primary agriculture cooperative groups made a conscious effort to portray a scarcity. He said it was a component of the congress Party's defamation campaign. Those who participated in the evaluation were Agriculture Secretary M. Raghunandan Rao, Special Commissioner Hanmanthu, Horticulture director Hanmantha Rao, and Marketing director Lakshmibai.
