Telangana BRS may face rebel trouble in Medak

SIBY JEYYA
A few of the BRS officials have vowed to run as rebels if the party's initial candidate for the medak Assembly segment is not altered. The party decided to keep Medak's ticket for Padma Devender Reddy. The mla and her spouse are accused of being involved in corruption, which has angered the local authorities.

The leaders provided information on corruption by the mla at the Edupayala Durga Bhavani Temple, including former market committee chairman G Narender, a sarpanch named Raji Reddy, and Rajashekhar Reddy. To demonstrate their integrity, the chiefs required Padma and her husband to vow before the god. If the party does not replace the candidate, they threaten that one of them will run for office as a dissident.

For the party leaders, the constituency has been a source of tension. Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, a veteran lawmaker, and malkajgiri mla, has long demanded a seat for his son Rohit. He had disparaged minister T. harish rao in his remarks. Although the statements were denounced by the working president of the BRS, KT Rama Rao, nothing has been done as of yet. Before the party leadership made a choice, Hanumanth Rao, according to insiders, was laying the groundwork to leave the organization. He has previously stated that he wants two seats for himself and his family, along with two seats for the CM's family.

Sources claim that the mla wants to switch parties before the party takes any action against him. He is said to have asked the corporators whether they would join him if he left the BRS. He received a call from the congress party. The udaipur proclamation states that a family would only be given one ticket, therefore it is unclear if he will receive two in Congress. Following september 10, the mla is anticipated to decide on a course of action.
