Govt striving for economical growth of fishermen - Transport Minister
According to Transport minister Puvvada ajay Kumar, the telangana government has taken up the distribution of free fish seed for the economic development of fishermen. The discharge of 75,000 fish fry into Machineni tank was started on monday at Kotapadu village Raghunadhapalem mandal in the district by the minister and district collector VP Gautham. For fishermen, the government has launched a number of support measures.
The State was now exporting fish as a result. In an effort to dismantle the middleman system and advance the blue revolution, the government has adopted a distribution plan for fish fries that is funded by subsidies. According to him, vehicles were provided as part of a subsidy to sell fish in other States.
According to ajay Kumar, 186 fisherman cooperative organisations have been registered in the khammam area as of this writing. In the district, there were 14, 031 registered members in 143 elementary societies, 30 women's societies, 6 dalit, and tribal societies. According to collector Gautam, a goal has been established for the district's 903 water bodies to release 362.59 lakh fish fry during the 2023–24 academic year. 54 water bodies in the khammam constituency will get 3.35 lakh fish fry.
Later that day, in Cheruvu Bazar in khammam City, ajay Kumar lay the cornerstone for the building of the rajaka Community Hall, which will be funded by Rs. 10 lakh in CDP money. According to him, the BRS offers rajakas free power up to 250 units for their benefit.
