Nitin Gadkari wrote a letter to CM Shivraj regarding stray animals?
Union Road Transport minister Nitin Gadkari is not happy about the highway of madhya pradesh becoming a
cowshed. By writing a letter to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Gadkari has expressed concern over
accidents caused by stray animals on the national highways of Madhya Pradesh. Although everyone is aware of
the problem of stray animals roaming on the highways of madhya pradesh, but now after Gadkari's letter, there
is some activity in the administration. Union minister Nitin Gadkari has also offered help to the state
government to solve the problem.
In a letter written by Union Road Transport minister Nitin Gadkari to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he
said, "Honorable Shivraj ji, due to the good condition of the national highways in the country, the traffic on them
has increased. In the last 9 years, the length of the national highways in madhya pradesh has increased by 50
percent." It is the responsibility of all of us to prevent road accidents with quality construction. He further said,
efforts are going on at many levels in this direction and have yielded meaningful results. Stray animals roam on
the national highways. And due to herds of animals sitting in the middle of the roads, there is a possibility of
road accidents.
'Hinders in reducing accidents caused by animals'
Nitin Gadkari wrote, I am continuously receiving complaints from citizens and public representatives regarding
this subject. During my stay in Datia, I saw herds of animals at many places on the way and I had also drawn the
attention of the local administration to this matter. He further wrote that, 'The presence of animals on the
National Highway is hindering efforts to reduce road accidents. You are requested to stop the movement of
animals on all national highways. For this, the rules made by the state government for the management of stray
animals. Strict action should be taken against them.
