Telangana - BRS Graph Declining ?
A number of ongoing issues appear to be having a negative impact on the BRS party's support in Telangana. A recent study, in particular, shows that the release of assembly candidates has caused a quicker decline, with support falling by 3% in only two weeks. Despite the initial plan to announce candidates before rival parties in order to gain an edge, the strategy appears to have produced unimpressive results.
KCR, the head of the BRS, made a calculated decision to unveil 115 candidates out of 119 constituencies in order to quell internal party unrest and give plenty of time for advertising. Additionally, just 38% of respondents said they were happy with the candidates they chose. Even the recent exemptions of agricultural loans for sums under 99,999 rupees were not well received by farmers. It appears that the hasty adoption of these exemptions, which was probably related to upcoming elections, backfired.
Loan waivers were undoubtedly required, but it's possible that the timing and strategy were off. Farmers have suffered for years as a result of non-waiver, and bigger loans surpassing one lakh rupees are still unpaid. This group includes almost 20 lakh farmers, and the loans they owe are not eligible for relief. Notably, the support for the bjp has also fallen by 3.5 percent, while support for the congress has somewhat increased by roughly 2 percent.
