Vidyaposhak of Udupi has built 44 houses for students..!?
Originally working for the career development of Yakshagana artistes, this organization started the vidya Patrukh Yojana decades ago to help poor students. This is a rare scheme that provides scholarships to poor students with good marks, based on their financial status. When the workers of the organization visited the homes of the eligible students who received the scholarship, they were moved by the plight of many families. He found the students who were living a miserable life under Tagadu City without a home to live in and offered to help them. This is a rare project that started building a house by collecting money on their own. Presently, vidya Parent Foundation has constructed a well-equipped house for 44 poor students with the help of local people.
The 43rd house Handover Program, organized with the help of Udupi mla Yashpal Suvarna, witnessed many emotional moments. Currently, more than 1000 students are given around 90 lakh rupees annually as scholarships under the VidyaPoshak scheme. Once the student becomes a member of the family, the institution remains a shelter till the end of the study. house construction work is being carried out targeting the most rural areas of Udupi district. The construction of 50 houses will be completed by the end of this year. This scheme is a model for the state to provide support to poor students along with education.
This program of Yakshagana Kalaranga Sansthan's Matru Kharti has been widely appreciated. Hatsoff must say to the team of activists who are seeing god in the service of students.
