Telangana Hyderabad Nehru Zoo Park takes up several development works
The Nehru Zoological Park in hyderabad has started a number of development projects in preparation for its Diamond Jubilee Year festivities. The zoo has started priority significant developmental work in accordance with the authorized APO and inspections for the welfare of visitors and animals as part of the 60th anniversary celebration slated for October.
Along with increasing the number of family seats available, security is a priority, and surveillance cameras have been strategically positioned around the building. Improved RO plant, landscaping initiatives, planting along nalas, and other improvements have all been made. Additionally, animal enclosure enrichment has been created in accordance with the demand to enhance animal health.
While the old nalas and ponds are being desilted, cleaned, and stabilised, a new culvert with 18 pipes of 1-meter height has been built at the Safari Park complex to prevent floods from Mir Alam Tank overflow. The environmental library, water ponds, and flamingo ponds are some of the most recent additions to the expansive zoo grounds.

On Monday, Dr sunil S. Hiremath, the deputy conservator of forests, replaced Pashant Bajirao Patil as curator of the Nehru Zoological Park. Patil had assumed the position in March. Previously, Dr. Hiremath served as Nirmal's divisional forest officer. After taking over, Dr. Hiremath met V.S.N.V Prasad, director of zoo parks and forest conservator.
