Central government agreement to strengthen the navy!

While the indian Navy currently has only 4 auxiliary warships, the central government has allocated Rs 19,000 crore to build 5 more ships. The Union Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement to buy 5 auxiliary warships for the indian Navy for Rs.19,000 crore. These warships will be manufactured locally by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), a public sector company.

In the indian Navy, auxiliary warships serve to provide support to warships at various levels. HSL in Visakhapatnam (HSL) The ships will be manufactured at the company's shipyard.


These auxiliary warships are equipped with advanced anti-submarine missiles and sophisticated radar equipment to detect enemy ships. These ships are said to be commissioned into the indian Navy within the next 8 years. Rs 19000 crore contract inked for 5 fleet support ships to replenish warships. Auxiliary warships will be used to carry fuel, explosives, weapons and food and drinking water for the warships. As auxiliary ships carry out these tasks, warships can stay at sea for long periods of time without coming to port.


The long-pending plan was approved by the cabinet Committee on Defense headed by prime minister Modi on august 16. Currently, the indian Navy has only four old auxiliary warships. The oldest auxiliary warship has been in service for 30 years. Overall, the Navy currently has around 130 warships and submarines, 230 aircraft, helicopters and drones.
