When malkajgiri BRS mla Mynampally Hanumantha Rao warned minister harish rao against meddling in the politics of the medak assembly constituency, groupism and internal disputes over party tickets came to light. malkajgiri representative Hanumantha Rao stated, "I am running from malkajgiri, while my son Rohit Rao is running from the medak constituency. He enquired as to what harish rao was doing in Medak. He said that harish rao, a minister, prevented growth in Medak.

"Malkajgiri and medak constituencies are taking up my time. I'll impart a lesson to harish rao at the proper time. Before and after becoming an mla, everyone is aware of his position and rank, he claimed. He made it clear that he would only participate if tickets were provided for both him and his son. According to rumours, mla Hanumantha Rao has been engaging in a variety of social service initiatives through the Mynampally Foundation in an effort to reclaim his footing in the medak constituency.

M Padma Devander Reddy, the incumbent mla and a close family friend of cm K Chandrashekhar Rao, has run for and won this seat twice before. Padma plans to run in the upcoming assembly elections in an effort to make it a hat trick. Sheri Subhash Reddy, an MLC who has started a different political movement in the medak district, is also interested in the position.
