Syed Ahmed Bukhari appeals- PM Modi should listen

Syed ahmed Bukhari, the Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, urged prime minister Narendra Modi to 'listen to the

mind of Muslims' in the backdrop of recent incidents of communal violence. On friday (August 11), he said that the

incidents in Manipur and Mewat of haryana put a question mark on the future of 'Mother-e-Watan'.

While requesting PM Modi, Bukhari said that Honorable prime minister, you talk about 'Mann Ki Baat', listen to the

mind of Muslims too. They are worried about this situation, they are thinking that what will be the future of the

country? Not only Muslims, Hindus, Christians and Sikhs are also thinking the same.

Urged to talk to Muslim representatives

Supporting talks with the government, Bukhari said that I am saying on behalf of the Muslims of india that we are

ready for talks with the government. Talk to us, talk to Hindu leaders also and then hold a joint meeting. Find a

solution to these situations so that the country can be saved from this atmosphere of hatred. In his address at Jama

Masjid before friday prayers, Bukhari also urged home minister amit shah to have a 'large heart' and talk to the

representatives of the Muslim community.

He alleged that an atmosphere of hatred is engulfing the country and the 'secular people' of the majority society are

also feeling it. On the situation in Mewat, Bukhari said that Hindus and Muslims live together in the country, but

some people are appealing for economic boycott of Muslims by organizing panchayats and giving them 'threats'. He

claimed that due to the election, an atmosphere is being created so that there is polarization and the votes fall

unilaterally in favor of one party.
