Finally, Osmania University to soon be a closed campus in Telangana Hyderabad
The announcement on saturday by MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao that the Adikmet link road will receive quick approval gave the university administration, which has long advocated for a closed campus, a boost. The connection road, estimated to cost Rs 16.50 crore, was requested by the V-C to Rama Rao. The road will be constructed starting from the Adikmet flyover, through the ECE Department and the Andhra Mahila Sabha, and ending close to the NCC Gate of the university.
Currently, the institution permits through traffic on the main campus road from 6 am to 8 pm. The campus will be closed once the connection road has been installed, according to Prof. Ravinder.
