In hyderabad, the lease of industrial and logistics (IL) space jumped by 43% to 2.1 million square feet from 1.5 million square feet during the same time last year. According to "CBRE Industrial and Logistics Figures H1 2023," e-commerce companies dominated leasing with a market share of roughly 48%, followed by third-party logistics (3PL) companies at 23% and engineering and manufacturing companies at 11%.

The major leases in hyderabad include a 10 lakh square foot lease by a major e-commerce company at the ESR Logistics Park, a 2.76 lakh square foot lease by DHL, and a 99,000 square foot lease by a major FMCG company in independent warehouses. In the six months ending in june, space take-up was dominated by small-data-sized transaction closes.

According to the research, leasing in the IL sector increased by 35% year over year (Y-o-Y) on a pan-India basis and reached 19.1 million square feet across eight cities between january and june 23. According to the statement, leasing activity is anticipated to keep gaining steam from July through December, with holiday season sales serving as a contributing factor.

"A sustained uptick in leasing activity is predicted for the second part of the year, opening the door for an estimated 32–36 million square feet of IL space to be occupied. As they continue to execute a "multipolar" supply chain strategy, the 3PL industry will be the main driver of this development trajectory. According to Anshuman Magazine, chairman and chief executive officer of CBRE India, the demand for space from engineering and manufacturing companies is also anticipated to remain high.
