Popular kannada film actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana raghavendra has passed away. It is being told that he had a heart attack. This sad incident happened when the couple was vacationing in Thailand. According to reports, Spandana was suffering from low blood pressure which led to her heart attack. Spandana has left behind her husband and son. Vijay raghavendra and Spandana raghavendra were celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary this month. But his sudden death just a few days ago has turned happiness into mourning. Spandana's mother tongue was Tulu and she was the daughter of Assistant Commissioner of police BK Shivaram. Vijay and Spandana got married on 26 august 2007. He has a son named Shaurya Raghavendra.
Vijay is the eldest son of producer SA Chinne Gowda and his wife Jayamma. His aunt Pravarthamma Rajkumar is also a producer and distributor of kannada films by profession. Vijay's younger brother srimurali is also a popular actor in kannada films. Famous kannada film actors shiva Rajkumar, raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneet Rajkumar (now deceased) are his cousins. Vijay raghavendra made his debut in kannada films in 1982 as a child artist with 'Chalisuva Modagalu'. His first lead role was in the film 'Ninagagi' which hit the theaters in 2002. In 1994, he won the National Award for Best Child Artist for the film 'Kotreshi Kanasu'. Vijay appeared as a contestant in the first season of 'Bigg Boss Kannada' and was also the winner of this season. It is said that he was given an amount of Rs 50 lakh as prize money.
