Water supply to be disrupted in parts of Telangana Hyderabad on August 7

Due to maintenance work, the city's water supply will be cut off in many locations for 24 hours starting at 6 am on august 7. In response to a notification issued by the hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), a massive leak has emerged at khanapur in the 1200 mm dia PSC pipeline delivering potable water from Singur.

Water would not be available for drinking in Shaikpet, Tolichowki, Golconda, Bojagutta reservoir regions, Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsinghi, Puppalaguda, Manikonda, khanapur, Neknampur, and Manchirevula beginning from 6 a.m. on august 7 and lasting till 6 a.m. on august 8. The water board recommended residents in the aforementioned locations with a compromised water supply to utilize water wisely.

Commuters claim that the city's busiest crossroads are Gachibowli and Kondapur and that detours via congested roads have greatly lengthened travel times. Additionally, the lack of employees on the ground and traffic or civic authorities' signs made life on the roadways more difficult. Even though the Cyberabad traffic police just sent out a notification about the diversion, Saturday, the first day the diversion was in effect, was difficult for commuters who were unaware of the same. Commuters were delayed on the road for a considerable amount of time since there was virtually any room to do a U-turn or reverse their vehicles.
