A number of young congress activists and leaders were detained by the police when they attempted to seize the Legislative assembly building and demand money for the state's unemployed young. K. Siva Sena reddy, the president of the youth congress, and Meta Rohit, the president of the City, have called for a demonstration at the assembly, where the monsoon session started on Thursday.

The demonstrators travelled from gandhi bhavan in a rally. After a brief altercation, police captured many of them and dispersed them when they were close to the Legislative Council's main entrance. Siva Sena reddy said that despite the state government's promises to help financially, nothing has been done in the past nine years to fulfil those promises.

He warned that if the government continues to ignore young people without jobs, his protests would get worse. Meta Rohit said that the state administration had misappropriated money for projects but had no interest in providing grants to students and young people without jobs.  Shiv Ssena reddy, the state president of the young congress, said on tuesday that chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister, had betrayed the students and unemployed young by breaking his commitment to give them two lakh employment.
