Telangana - Electoral enrollment campaign in Greater Hyderabad limits from Aug 5

From august 5 to august 16, the indian Election Commission will run a drive to add residents of Hyderabad's metropolitan agglomeration to the voting list. 5,000 resident welfare associations inside and surrounding the ghmc boundaries will be included in the campaign. Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) Vikas raj arranged a meeting on tuesday with hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) and United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations (UFERWAS), the apex organisation of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs).

According to Vikas Raj, all RWAs in the districts of hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal, Malkajgiri, and sangareddy have been assigned to the 24 EROs. The RWAs have also been assigned to BLO Supervisors and extra Nodal Officers as needed. In all RWAs, he said, 619 BLO Supervisors and Nodal Officers had been designated to lead the effort. On tuesday, he said, a meeting for orientation was held with the DEOs of hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and sangareddy, as well as their BLO Supervisors and Nodal Officers.

According to him, the BLO supervisors would travel to each RWA with their team to collect applications for new enrolment, changes to entries on the register, and migration from one assembly Constituency to another or within the same assembly Constituency.
 He asked EROs to create a day-by-day timetable for the visits in order to guarantee maximum engagement from the inhabitants.
