T. balaji, an 18-year-old weather enthusiast from the city who is better known on twitter as telangana Weatherman, is receiving praise for his precise and lightning-fast weather reports. The city eagerly anticipated the updates, particularly amid the last week of torrential rain. According to balaji, a second-year civil engineering student at JNTU, he has always been attracted by clouds and rain. He was inspired by this to pursue geography in high school. In the year 2020, the Covid-19 shutdown is when balaji first became interested in weather.

"I started learning about the topic and took the subject more seriously during the lockdown. I created the 'Telangana Weatherman' twitter page in october 2020 and began updating it. I've been continuously monitoring and sharing the weather for the past three years," added Balaji. More than 63k people follow balaji on twitter, including weather specialists and government officials who consult him for updates before making plans for the day or when the weather deteriorates.

In between his routine of college, academics, examinations, and spare time, according to balaji, he always managed to find time. "I listen to the weather report both to start and end my day. It now serves as my ritual. I publish updates in the morning and evening on a typical day. I spend the most of the time providing frequent updates on the crucial days. When I first began my voyage, I used to spend hours studying and trying to comprehend the weather. I currently take an hour," he continued.

Balaji, who is the only child of two high school teachers, said that the experience has been intriguing and that he is both grateful and humbled by the praise for his work. balaji reads and writes about the weather out of enthusiasm every day, but he has no desire to make a profession out of it. "I want to either pursue a profession as a civil engineer or in business. As a hobby and a passion, I forecast the weather and will keep doing so. I'm humbled to be able to make a little but distinct contribution to society, added Balaji.
