Union minister RamdasAthawale saturday regretted bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar's exit from the Janata Dal (U) despite having "good relations" with prime minister Narendra Modi and asked Kumar to attend the opposition parties' meeting next month. Athawale,leader of the republican party of india (RPI), said, "There is no use." He said that my advice to Nitish is to stay away from attending the meeting.The National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (India), a coalition of non-BJP parties, is likely to meet in mumbai next month.
Referring to speculation in a section of the media after the new name was announced at a meeting in Bengaluru earlier this month, Athawale said, "It seems he is not happy in that camp. He was unhappy with the nickname 'India', but rahul gandhi prevailed."Nitish was also a Union minister along with Athawale.However, nitish kumar himself has dismissed such speculations and said that the new name of the opposition alliance was decided unanimously.
