KongunaduMakkalDesiyaKatchi (KMDK): This party based in kerala was formed in 2013. It is a breakaway party from KongunaduMunnetraKazhagam (KMK). The party represents the Gounder caste in the Kongu Nadu region of tamil Nadu.
It was headed by businessman-turned-politician E.R. Easwaran and is part of the DMK-led alliance in tamil Nadu. The party has some support in western tamil Nadu. The party has one member in the lok sabha, AKP Chinraj, who won on the DMK symbol.
ManithaneyaMakkalKatchi (MMK): MMK is led by MH Jawahirullah and is part of the DMK-led alliance in tamil Nadu. Jawahirullah is currently an mla from the party and also serves as a member of the All india Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). There is no member of the party in the Parliament.
kerala congress (Mani): The party based in kerala was part of the erstwhile kerala congress, but a faction led by KM Mani broke away in 1979 to form the KC(M). Presently Jose K. The party headed by Mani has a strong stronghold in Kottayam.
It is part of the CPI(M)-led LDF. It won five seats in the state assembly elections in 2021 and has one lok sabha and one rajya sabha member. KC(M) is working on a strategy to register its special status in the agricultural hub of Kottayam, idukki and pathanamthitta districts ahead of the 2024 lok sabha elections.
