CM KCR approves Rs 1 lakh financial aid for minorities in Telangana

In yet another significant step towards ending poverty, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao approved and signed documents on sunday extending a financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh with 100% subsidy to minority communities, similar to the assistance already provided to communities from lower socioeconomic classes.
The State administration issued the instructions putting the plan into force right now. One family member will be eligible for the award. As on june 2, 2023, candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 55. In rural and urban regions, respectively, the applicant's yearly income should not be more than Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh.
The decision to give minority populations aid of Rs. 1 lakh is seen as a turning point in the BRS government committed to the idea of a "Welfare State." It will be a significant effort, the first of its type in the nation, with the goal of ensuring minority groups' independence. "The State administration is working tirelessly to eradicate poverty in all communities, regardless of caste or religion. The chief minister stated that the administration is already providing desperately needed assistance to worthy groups.
He reaffirmed that the State government was dedicated to the growth and welfare of all minority populations, and he noted that a number of initiatives were already in place, focusing appropriately on minority communities in vital areas such as education and employment. He said that the State government will encourage various cultural and religious traditions in the State in order to preserve the 'Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb' ethos of Telangana. He claimed that the action plans created and put into action were already producing favourable effects.
Applications for 100% direct subsidies of Rs. 1 lakh for each qualified recipient that were submitted online in the fiscal year 2022–2023 but were still waiting at the telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation would be taken into consideration in the current fiscal year (2023–2024). Christian applicants are encouraged to submit new applications in order to be considered for financial support of Rs. 1 lakh apiece. According to authorities, the selection process would be concluded by the district Collector-led district Level Monitoring Committee/District Level Screening Committee selection committee. For the district as a whole, the district Collector will need the consent of the district In-Charge minister to implement the plan.
