Rains lash Telangana - Red alert for five districts till Wednesday

The State's monsoon intensified as a result of the relentless rains that have lashed many locations since monday night, even though the india Meteorological Department had issued a red alert warning of expected heavy rain in five districts. The districts of Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Jangaon are under a red alert on Wednesday, with heavy to very heavy rain and extremely heavy rain along with gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph forecast.

Aside from this, Karimnagar, Peddapally, mulugu, bhadradri Kothagudem, Siddipet, and kamareddy districts have been warned to expect severe to extremely heavy rain. The prediction calls for heavy rain until friday morning. Meanwhile, some irrigation projects had significant inflows after Tuesday's nonstop rain. A few locations, including Medigadda, had water released downstream by irrigation officials. people were inconvenienced greatly in various locations due to the State's heavy rains. However, farmers who had been anticipating clear skies were thrilled.

Between 30 and 52 millimetres of rain fell in Warangal, yadadri Bhongir, mulugu, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, kamareddy, and adilabad among all other districts. Up till seven o'clock in the evening, Eturnagaram in mulugu recorded the greatest rainfall total of 71.3 mm, followed by kamareddy with 62.3 mm and Gannaram with 60.8 mm.
