Security beefed up in Telangana Hyderabad Old City

On sunday and monday, over 2,000 police officers will be on duty to monitor the preparations for the Bonalu celebration in the Old City. P The smooth running of the celebrations on sunday and the parade on monday would be ensured by strong security measures, according to Sai Chaitanya, deputy commissioner of police for the south zone. Personnel from the telangana State Special police, the Rapid Action Force, the City Armed Reserve, and local police are deployed. Senior representatives sent from other zones are sent to oversee the arrangements.


"In order to minimize annoyance to the public, traffic diversions have been communicated in advance. To preserve calm and tranquilly, everyone has been urged to work together, according to Sai Chaitanya.  At significant temples in the Old City, a sizable crowd is anticipated for the Bonalu festival. Akkanna Madanna Temple, Simhavahini Mahankali Temple, and other temples are decorated for the event.  On sunday, a number of VIPs, including politicians, stars from the movies, and bureaucrats, are anticipated to make offerings at the temples in the Old City.


On sunday, the holiday festivities got underway in Secunderabad. At the ujjaini Mahankali temple, thousands of people prayed, and K chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister, and his wife took part in a special "puja."
