Between april 2000 and december 2022, france has invested around $10.49 billion in India. This is 1.68 percent of the total foreign investment received by india, according to the central DPIIT department. Also, france is the 11th largest foreign investor in the list of major countries investing in India. Most of France's foreign direct investment is concentrated in the service sector, about 18.05% of France's investment of $10.49 billion is concentrated in the service sector. This is followed by the cement and gypsum products segment with 9.29% investment. Aviation sector received 7.59% investment followed by service sector and cement sector, other industries 7.24%, petroleum and natural gas 7.10%.
