'First the semi-speed train, then the high-speed train'..!?

Sreedharan suggests changing the current DPR. Semi-speed trains should be implemented first. E Sreedharan's report says that high-speed train is enough later. E Sreedharan's report suggesting drastic changes in the K rail project including DPR was handed over to the government. KV Thomas handed over the report to the chief minister that the first semi-speed train was implemented and then high speed was sufficient. The government has moved to reactivate the silver Line project with Sreedharan in mind.

The government is all set to run the forgotten K-Rail on the renewed track after the center showed a red signal. Metroman's alternative report is as requested by KV Thomas on the instructions of the Chief Minister. The report says that the current K rail project is impractical. E Sreedharan says that the DPR itself should be changed. Another alternative is a tunnel and an elevated road. This way the cost will be greatly reduced and the land will not be acquired in large quantities. At the same time, E Sreedharan suggested keeping it as a standard gauge to increase speed.

KV Thomas handed over the report given by E Sreedharan to the chief minister yesterday. Earlier, the Railway minister had also said that if the project document is changed, it will be checked. What we need to know is whether the government, which always repeats that K rail will come anyway, will now demolish the plan as per Metroman's recommendation. The government is trying to use Sreedharan's influence at the center.
