However, she was selected for the indian side thanks to her fourth-place performance in the 4200 m freestyle event. "When I learned about the selection, I was shocked. At the age of 16, I am ecstatic to compete for my nation at the Asian Games. "I had hoped to qualify for the 1500- and 800-meter freestyle events. However, I failed to qualify for those events in the nationals. I'm pleased that I made the relay team. But many who follow her career were not surprised by her pick. At the senior nationals, she won many medals, showcasing her talent. She earned bronze and silver in the 200-meter freestyle event at the senior nationals held in Bangalore in 2021 and september 2022, respectively, in Guwahati.
At this young age, being chosen for the indian squad is a huge career boost for her, and she is hoping to improve her performance to fulfil her ambition of competing for india in the Olympics. "Entering the indian side is a significant accomplishment. In the next Asian Games, I wish to be able to compete in my favourite 400-, 800-, and 1500-meter freestyle events. To represent india at the olympics is my greatest dream. It is a little challenging to earn a spot in the 2016 Summer olympics in Paris. But I still have time for the upcoming Games. I'll put in a lot of effort to meet the Olympic qualification standards, she said.
